"After 15 plus years of using state farm for car and home insurance I would not recommend!!!! While the ladies who are actually in the office and answer phones are wonderful dont expect to get anything from Doug Hill he doesnt just lack communication he doesnt do it... my first problem came when they failed to inform me of paperwork that needed to get signed and they stopped taking my automatic payments then canceled my car insurance I wasnt informed till I got a letter from Dmv and had to pay hundreds to get it all fixed (mind you i have never missed a payment before)... then just a few months later he failed to inform me my homeowners insurance was dropped due to a claim... I went over a month without knowing again he failed to I form me AND TO TOP IT OFF AFTER MULTIPLE REQUESTS HE STILL NEVER RESPONDED COMPLETE SILENCE. I finally met with a broker and got all new insurance and actually saved hundreds on the cars and over a thousand on my home FOR BETTER COVERAGE!!! Im disappointed in dougs complete lack of care for his long term and the constant increase in prices but greatful I finally went somewhere else and SAVED money."

"State Farm agent, Doug Hill’s office (in Skaneateles) has been so helpful w/ my recent vehicle accident claim ~ Brooke (who is my main contact person ~ I was also able to talk w/ Doug) has been with me every step of the way! One week ago on Monday (9/16/24) my SUV was struck from the front hood of the driver’s side scraping (there were sparks) all the way down to the back of the driver’s side of my SUV! I was stationary (in line for gas & not moving) & this guy hit one car overcorrected hit my SUV (all the way down the driver’s side) & then he hit a 3rd SUV that was in line behind me! Guy took all the blame (as he should of), but has GEICO for insurance w/ a maximum cap allowed for damages when in a car accident ~ I filed claim using the State Farm app (thanks Doug for letting me know about it) & everything has been smooth sailing!! Since the accident wasn’t my fault, I can use State Farm to file my claim & then they’ll go on my behalf to fight for everything I deserve to be made whole again w/out dinging my car accident record! Brooke great @ answering my questions everyday for a week! Not everyday your SUV is totaled & you weren’t even moving?!! State Farm has this entire process down to a science! My auto claim (via the app) was handled quickly & professionally!! Assigned Marissa (auto claims - talked w/ her Wednesday) to set up the inspection of my SUV & make sure all pics & descriptions on my app claim were correct ~ Scott (damage inspector) was scheduled to look @ my SUV on Mon (9/23/24) & he actually stopped by the collusion shop on Thursday so he would have a decision on Monday!! Monday (9/23/24), my SUV was listed as a total loss! I was assigned Jeromy (total loss claims) on Monday & knew by Monday night how much I would be getting for my totaled 2018 Honda HRV ~ Very happy w/ the outcome of this sad loss (only had 5 payments left on the 4 yr loan) & one week later State Farm had all the answers I needed & I’m getting the money I need back in order to purchase another Honda SUV!! Brooke & Doug (local State Farm Skaneateles, NY office) were Awesome!! Helped me w/ all the steps & let me know exactly what I needed to do!! Thank you, State Farm ~ Like a good neighbor you are Always There!! I’m very happy to have State Farm insuring not only my auto, but also my home for 40 years so far!"
